Instrument Repairs

A flat tire fixed on your automobile can be called a 'corrective' repair, while regular oil changes and a tune-up are 'preventative' repairs. Band instrument repairs "work" in much the same manner. Corrective work can fix the immediate problems of a losse pad, stuck valve, or missing tenon cork, but we strongly encourage the more preventative instrument repair work. Good cleaning, proper requlation and routine pad/cork work will insure that an instrument is in its best playing condition.

And so, just as a "tune-up" allows a check list of work to be performed in the auto shop, a "playing condition" noted on an instrument repair tag allows a more thorough checklist of work completed. Tune-ups keep your car on the road and P.C.'s (play conditions) will keep musical instruments in the player's hands- which make Band Directors very happy indeed!
