IN 1957- David “Bud” Morgan a renowned jazz sax player from Chicago decided to “get off he road” and started a piano and organ store in downtown Eau Claire. In 1959- The store moved to it’s current location at 2405 East Clairemont Ave ( Highway #12) In Eau Claire, WI. 1960’s- The Beatle’s, The Stones, The Who,.... brought in the “Rock Era” Morgan Music responded by expanding it’s product offerings to include guitars, amplifiers, PA Equipment,.... Many an Eau Claire “Baby Boomer” remembers buying a Vox amp or keyboard, Fender Guitar, Sunn Bass rig, .... from Bud Morgan! 1970’s- Being a Jazz Musician,... it only made since to offer band and orchestra instruments. Many an area middle school student - or junior high as we called it then,... look back fondly at picking up that trumpet or sax and starting band! It was also at this time Bud’s two sons - Gregg and Todd started working at the store. In fact it is not uncommon even TODAY to see an all Morgan Crew! 1980’s- The facility was expanded SEVERAL times. We now could offer the largest selection of just about ANY musical instrument for 100 miles! 1990’s- New products, New product, New products,...
